The open source media player Democracy Player is now called Miro.

One of the many things you can do with Miro is subscribe to over 1500 free TV “channels” which are basically video podcasts. Some of the funny or quality shows found so far are Man and Wife (pictured above), Cool Hunting, The Sketchup Show, Wild Chronicles, Channel 102, Onion News Network, and Democracy Now. These will all work in whatever player you prefer including iTunes. Miro also allows you to download videos from YouTube, Google Video and more as well as download Bit torrent files.
