Joseph Lambert is a cartoonist with a shit-ton of really fine sketchbook work on Flickr and more neat things like this Spiderman print above. Also there is the blog and the website. He and his associated comics crew were at MoCCA with their books too this year. Their book offerings were just one example of the loads of books that I missed out on by not browsing the room proper. Damn. Everything was so beautiful at the show that I felt safer behind my table. Next year I’ll come with a budget and a plan. Also MoCCA should serve beer like they do at APE to lubricate the ease of book purchases.

Christian Wischnewski is an illustrator and has sketchbook work and art on Flickr and a portfolio here.

Amanda Vähämäki makes comics and mysterious artwork and was recently interviewed on TCJ where there are some more art pieces. Check her Flickr.

Patryk Mogilnicki does a lot of illustrations for magazines and more and puts them on Flickr and Carbonmade and blog.

Here is a new thing from Meathaus, Melting Pot #1. Download it, print it, fold it, have it by going here where you can see the contributors list and learn how you can join in on the next one.

Met Peter Lazarski at MoCCA and he shared a few of his books about monsters, Imaginary Monsters, in fact. That’s the name of his web comic or business, or both. Also check out his blog But I’m A Wizard where you will see his concept art studies and illustrations plus lots of monsters.

Lisa Hanawalt (previously mentioned here) was at MoCCA this year at the Buenaventura Press table with her new comic I Want You which is really gross and funny and about sex bugs, inappropriate grocery store behavior and cool menstrual terms and nicknames for blemishes and repulsive injuries. This one was easy to buy because the Meathaus table was adjacent. Lisa also has a newish comic up on Vice, a website and Flickr.

Check out Julia’s vintage sets for weird relics of the past, as well as her shots of anything old and decaying. A personal favorite is the vintage hams and meats.
Jenny Drumgoole (previously mentioned here and here) has fully committed herself to the Great American Dream of having Paula Deen sign her momma’s cookbooks, and thus has begun a two month long journey of producing a new cream cheese cooking video every week for the full length of the Real Women of Philadelphia contest sponsored by Paula Deen. Above is a YouTube playlist with Jenny’s first three entries and I’m looking forward to next week’s. I decided to post something about these videos before the entire contest is over because you too may want to join in waiting with anticipation for each new episode to be uploaded to Jenny’s channel. Writing too much about the videos would be a disservice to their creative cooking methods, so I can just say carve out 6 to 10 minutes for each this weekend and watch these cooking videos for hot tips from a Real Woman of Philadelphia.
We know that Paula Deen is watching, and certainly has an eye on Jenny, because she called her second video out on the contest blog just last week. Paula has however remained silent after week three’s entry, where things seem to take a darker turn. Paula, sign those cookbooks! Jenny’s momma needs them.

Jen Tong and Meathaus pal Dave K. stopped by at MoCCA to say hi and I got to browse this intense 7 color or something fully silkscreened comic by Jen that was complex and beautiful. Jen’s paintings, prints and comics are on her website here with a lot more lemon and lime headed people living in the woods with animals and a fair helping of girls and boys with more lemons and mushrooms, sometimes in distress or just riding elephants and dolphins. Also blog it, where you will find color separation shots of Jen’s expert printing.
