Look at Andy Gilmore’s digital art and drawings (previously mentioned here) and think this is a man with an interesting head on his shoulders. See Flickr, website, blog for analog, blog for digital.

Hey, wow, look at Star Wars given the Tomer Hanuka treatment! It’s an officially licensed work as described on Tomer’s blog post, and Tomer sent a note over that you can now buy the screen printed poster here.

I love this idea that Angie Wang (previously mentioned here) has been producing: a speculative fashion blog. In other words she designs and illustrates outfits from the future with no regard for “budget, sense, or reality” according to her blog, Wangie. Also check out her regular blog, and illustration website.

I’m hanging my head in shame realizing I haven’t posted about Hellen Jo’s art before because I’ve definitely been eyeballing it. Repeatedly. I searched in the archives for the last time I posted about it and can’t find it so I guess I didn’t. You savvy cats out there will already be aware of Hellen’s fantastic drawings and humor, because it is popping up everywhere like in those weird Post-it gallery shows and Deforge’s and Sands’ Lady Gaga fanzine, Prison For Bitches, etc… she even did one of my favorite jokes on the cover of Electric Ant: subtle extra fingers.
Anyway, Hellen Jo is a super talent and she has brush skills to envy. Check her website, blog, and Flickr.

Gregory Jacobsen sent over a note to check out his new series of drawings on his blog. But, you should be warned that besides these lovely rotting fruit/human suggestive flesh piles posted above, there are numerous squirting, dripping, evacuating orifices and scenes of cartoonish sexual debauchery in detailed progress depicted in the drawings. Which isn’t really a big deal unless you are subscribing to the belief that humanity is somehow distinctly separate from and better than the beastly, fat-encrusted, scenes dripping from Jacobsen’s mindspace, and thus you may be shocked at the depravity. On the other hand if you believe that humanity is generally not unlike the average orangoutang chewing its raw monkey-meat dinner and celebrating its weird butt, then get into the art on the portfolio site. And if you ever wanted to hear music that sounds like how the paintings look, give a listen to Jacobsen’s group here.

Ryan Haywood has got some colorful illustrations up on his portfolio website.

The winner of the 2nd POKETO wallet was chosen yesterday from people who responded to the call for entires on Twitter and Lidia won that. Today, Tristan was chosen by the random computer from the 66 of you that responded to the call for entires from our registered meathaus.com users and he gets the 3rd wallet. We have two more wallets to give away so what I’m doing is adding up all the entries from the comments, twitter and email replies and selecting two more winners from that pile. So you all get another two shots at one of these bad boys. I’ll follow up in the comments on this post in 20 or so minutes and of course I’ll email the winners to notify them.
EDIT: The deed is done. See comment if you care to.
It’s a great day for Philip Glass‘s Sesame Street segment!
