Homestuck, by  Andrew Hussie.  Man, what a smart guy.  When it’s on its game, which it usually is, it’s one of the most profoundly entertaining comics reading experiences of my life.  There was a time when I would have said “fiction reading experiences”, but, well-  the story is so long and meandering, my mind lately is starting to cry out for closure.  Too much of a good thing perhaps.

I don’t want to say too much about the story.  Or anything at all, really.  It ends up somewhere very different from where it starts.  In fact, I wish I could reproduce for y’all my baffling and mind-blowing introduction to this comic.  I don’t think that would work, but if I were to try, I’d post this comic:

which I stumbled onto randomly somewhere, and leave you to it.  It was so, so weird I had to learn more about the sick weirdo who made it.  After a lot of clicking and googling  I ended up on a cluttered page with that image above of a boy in a room and a hyperlink.  I started reading this thing, thinking it was some kind of demented lark by an internet recluse, and pretty quickly had my mind fully blown.  I will treasure that experince always.

Anyways-  disclaimer:  I think maybe 1 out of 10 people I’ve recommended Homestuck to have been at all interested in it… so… I don’t know…  Give it a shot!
