Weekly Review: Radiolab Live in San Francisco

Posted By Jay

Jay Sacher here with a new Meathaus feature. Every Wednesday, I’ll be donning my critic’s cape and serving up a review of something or other. Today it’s the live tour of WNYC’s Radiolab, which came through San Francisco a few days ago.

Love this! Great work. And I agree that, seemingly in more recent Radiolab episodes, the focus on keeping things cute and interesting can sometimes have a negative effect on the overall story. I’m the type who likes to work out patterns in and from everything, too, but sometimes things should just be appreciated for what they are. Not every great anecdote or phenomenon says or has to say something about the overall nature of our world.

Thanks Heather! Radiolab usually balances that issue pretty well…it’s a tough one for sure.

I agree–it’s a great show. It was a fun night for sure. I really enjoyed the recent episode about cats falling.
