Pratt Institute

Earlier today, Chang Park invited Mu Pan and me to his illustration class at Pratt Institute for a mid-semester crit. Chang started a demo using acrylic inks to paint a cardinal on a gessoed, cradled board. After the initial form was blocked in (pic 2), Mu took over and finished the image by painting in the fine details (pic 3). All the other artwork you see was done by Chang.

I love these photo journals of Kenichi posts. You neglected to link the “me” word to your website, people will want to link to you. I’ll link that sheesh.

I love that piece! A cool of mix of photorealism and rougher elements. It kind of reminds me of Colin Chillag’s portraits.
