Check it out, Steve Teare sent Meathaus some drawings and comics and a heart-encrusted letter which reads:
Here are some gift to express my appreciation for your showing me some of the best artwork online. Inside you’ll find some sketches one issue of my older series Back + Forth + my most recent book: the risograph-printed Spider Grandmother.
I’m an illustrator + teacher here in Philly + I also organize performances by comic book artists at the Vox Populi called ‘The Church of the Living Comic.’ Artists project their comics + pair the work w/ dialog, music + other antics. It’s a lotta fun.
Anyway, enjoy these gifts + enjoy your week.
Thanks for this sweet haul, Steve. In Spider Grandmother, an observant outsider attends a shitty desert-based festival with a burning idol figure in red and blue ink. These original drawings are great to share here and look at. While were at it, look at more Steve stuff on Twitter, Tumblr and his illustration website, and get looped into the Steve-scene so you can attend the next comics happening.
