Letter to Meathaus: C’est Bon

Check it out I think there are maybe three books here in this letter stash from C’est Bon that have managed to pile up here. Dig that Inés Estrada cover art and that “original autobio” Julia Scott book.

Look at more C’est Bon Anthology books at the the C’est Bon Kultur website and tumblr and cruise the tag here for previous publications sent to Letters to Meathaus.

Gang Bang Bong

Gang Bang Bong Comics

Inés Estrada sent the latest issue of Gang Bang Bong up from Mexico City, which is co-edited by Ginette Lapalme. They’ve put together a book full of spastic energy, quick hits, marks on paper, fun-to-read-fun-to-look-at comics, a really nice job that recalls black and white anthologies worth reading of the past such as Fantagraphics’s Zero Zero. That garbled sentence seems to work for me describing this book, maybe you can decipher a useful meaning. Better still, go to their website and get a copy. A few panels/drawings/images for a taste above include the cover by Ginette and art by Aisha Franz, J.C. the 54th and Michael DeForge. Gang Bang Bong previously mentioned here.
