Look at Roger’s outstanding load. Roger Omar has once again (see previous) edited, published and sent Meathaus a beautiful set of unfolding dreams. Children did the dream labor and then these dreams were collected, processed, refined and illustrated. Roger’s note reads:
Hope you enjoy this new set of dream leporellos.
Thanks a lot,
The description from the project website elaborates, “All these dreams are authentic (that is, were actually dreamed by children 8-10 years old) and maintain the original syntax of the children´s texts. They are translated into 2 languages, including English.”
These are the kind of objects that make one want to invent new display cases to feature their unfolding double-sided entireties for one’s Really Nice Stuff museum. The editorial direction and published quality of these pieces really do the excellent artists’s work justice. Thanks Roger, for sharing with Meathaus. See the previous load here. See more at Roger’s website, 6Dreams Tumblr, and Flickr.
Love this comics zine Una Noche sent over by Carlos González Boy to Meathaus. It has got multi-color paper photocopies of comics in this color cover. The story follows along as a few characters head to a bar and then some reptilian aliens execute their final promise to each other on the docks. See more comics by Carlos and maybe get some copies over on Flying Birds. Carlos writes in a note:
I hope you like it … I like you
Thank you Carlos! It took me way too long to post this letter. I have a small stack here waiting and who knows what else in the PO Box. And 200 links on the desktop I want to share. Meathaus still pulsates with life energy. What a beautiful world of creativity and most of all connection we live in. Can you appreciate the ease in which we share ideas? It is unprecedented in human history.
Look at Gabriela Zurda Corbarán’s illustrations over on her website.
Look at the lush mixed media comics and drawings of Jorge González on his website.
